I always liked the way Josh Lesnick (of Girly) drew funny little icons for his links section. Yet, his latest links endevor takes the cake. It took me a good 5 minutes to find the DummComics pony…but, I’m kinda slow.

The End of Big Pants!

That’s right, today starts the final epic story of the Big Pants Mouse comic strip. The final strip is set to air in 3 months. But how does it end? What will happen to our little mouse?! Well, that’s where you come in!

You do your own ending for the Big Pants Mouse strip! You have 2 months to get a “final ” strip in before the official end of Big Pants and the ones I pick will run after the ending–and that’s not all! If you send me your rough strip first, I’ll send you my flash library of assets to help you on your way!

So you decide how it ends! Do Suzy and Big Pants get married? Does Small Hats finally get what he deserves? Does Buttface ever say a complete word? Is Lucky Linus finally going to get “Lucky”?!

Just send your roughs in by the end of April to gabe(at)dummcomics.com!

Today’s Guest Artist: the infamous Nick Simmons!

Not content with being rich, great-looking, and the privileged son of rock superstar Gene Simmons, Nick has branched out into the comics world, and boy is he making a big splash! Check out his daring and evocative new manga-style comic, Incarnate, now on sale from Radical Publishing!

Here is some of Nick’s original work, which I am very impressed with! Please note the versatile range of styles!

Nick is also an accomplished painter, and classical artist!

And last, but not least, be sure to check out his Deviant Art Gallery, in which contains a whopping twelve (12) drawings! Hard to believe that an artist could make such progress in so little time, but such is the life a true prodigy!

Strawberry Guest: Dave Alvarez/Etsy stuff

This week’s Frog Raccoon Strawberry is by David Alvarez of Puerto Rico. We worked together for roughly a year and a half on a comic strip called Kee-Kee Koki. He’s probably best known in the US for his amazing, fluid pencils for DC’s Looney Tunes comics. Be sure to check out his daily comic strip Yenny!

This is the last of the guest strips for quite a while. John and I will be back in the saddle next week as we spend some time exploring life in Strawberry’s high school.

FRS Guest Comic: Red Jaka and Renie Rivas

This week’s Frog Raccoon Strawberry was drawn by Red Jaka and written by Renie Rivas.

Red Jaka is an amazing cartoonist from El Salvador. I love her style and I think it’d look amazing animated! She’s a very prolific artist who turns out several amazing pieces a week on her Deviantart site. Check her out at http://redbloodedgirl.deviantart.com .

Renie Rivas is a talented actress and comedienne and is a close friend of mine. Renie is also in a hilarious up-and-coming inprov troupe called Donut Video! Check them out on Facebook and check Renie out solo at Funny Or Die. Also of note, Renie has posted her original “script” on Deviantart here.
