I decided to finally update our long neglected links section with some cool comics that I’ve been following for a while now. Ever since I started making web comics I also started reading a lot more of them, and there’s some real grade-A shit out there. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out (if you haven’t already):
-Tiny Kitten Teeth -Cat Rackham -Nedroid -The Intrepid Girlbot -Much the Miller’s Son -Dawn of Time -Seedless -nockFORCE -Double Fine -Abominable Charles.
Okay, I don’t know how well this survey thing will work, but I thought it’d be fun to ask you guys some survey questions every now and then. Let’s get the ball rolling with this one:
<<Update>>
There were some bugs with the survey, so I’m taking it down for now. I’ll repost it next week. Sorry for deleting some votes.
Man, I just love giant robots, just can’t get enough of them, and this short delivers!
This is cool too::
Fede Alvarez, a 30-year-old Uruguayan director, has just signed a deal to develop a film that will cost between $30 and $40 million with Ghost House Pictures, the production company created by Sam Raimi (director of the Spider-Man trilogy, The Evil Dead movies, and Drag Me To Hell). He was offered a chance at making a movie after Raimi saw Ataque De Pánico, a five-minute Youtube short film in which giant robots attack and destroy Montevideo, Uruguay.
Awesome, a good giant robot movie to look forward to!
Check out this really cool and insightful write-up by Chris McD on Skadi artist, Katie Rice, and her genius post-it doodles: Link.
Also, Katie’s artwork is in the new Meathaus anthology sketchbook titled Go For The Gold! 3. The book features the sketch pages of 35 amazingly diverse artists. I got my copy a few days ago, and it’s definitely filled to the brim with awesome artwork. Here’s a preview page.
And if you’re not already aware, Meathaus has a great blog where you can keep up-to-date with all the amazing, irregular, and sometimes obscure artwork being created out there. I check it daily, and I’m seldom unimpressed.

John thought I forgot to draw the legs in panel 3. Balderdash!
hands down the best thing I’ve seen all year
Our friend Kurdt over at Creative Garbage Dump has honored us with our first official Fan Fiction, starring Skadi/Kimbo!

the mysterious Kurdt, aka Noface!
an excerpt:
“She had thought about eating him before when no other beasts could be found for consumption, but she had already crossed Bushbeasts off her list long ago and he was good to use as a shield in a pinch. She shivered and crossed her arms across her chest. Darn old blasted plain was cold! She looked down at Diseasoid again. His fur looked mighty warm…”
get on over there and leave Kurdt some feedback!
