I had lots of fun making comics and trying out new characters and lame retarded stuff each week. I’m excited for Ricky’s secret Surprise coming soon. this was my least favorite comic on dumm, although I’ve never mentioned it before: if others enjoy, and the creator is having fun, what do I care? With that being said, I’m glad: this is my least favorite comic. I don’t hate it or anything, but the constant references to people who DO hate it throw me off. I didn’t read the comments on it once (just would look @ it and think, “Oh, that’s kind of funny”) but when every other week it was “you are all trolls” “you all suck” it really ruined it for me. Something that I enjoyed to a mild degree became much less enjoyable.
David, good luck in your next endeavor. Some of these were quite good. Some fell a little bit flat: that’s part of experimentation, and why I didn’t bother to bash them. While I agree the people bashing your comic were behaving immaturely, I think your constant snipes at them & 4th wall breaking to address them (especially the disgusting troller comic) just took the cake. I understand you don’t appreciate being criticized, but I wish you’d used the comments section to address it, so the rest of us could ignore it & just laugh at your comic or not. I was unable to laugh at the comics attacking your critics, because I simply did not feel strongly enough either way.

Damn, I’m really gonna miss your comics, Dave. Yours is the only comic that can make me laugh within a single frame. The expressions you put on your characters are amazing, so full of life and energy. Just how cartoons should be. I’ll be keeping an eye on your blog and hope to see some of your animation work. Drawings as good as yours will look awesome animated.
