No doubt, some of our observant readers will notice that our Skadi and Diseasoid origin stories contradict some of our older comics (three, at least).  Hopefully this won’t bother too many people!  While keeping continuity is important, it’s unavoidable for characters to develop more and more as we keep making comics, despite the ideas we may have had for them in the beginning.

But…for the hardcore types who demand continuity, here are some “justifications”:

- In “The Ballad of Skadi Part 1″, where Skadi leaves her village happily as an adult…that’s just an idealization from her point of view…why dwell on sad things of the past?

- In “On Bushbeasts”, where Skadi is seen buying Diseasoid from the slavetrade…well, they’d already met…he was, uh, kidnapped by traders, and Skadi was merely taking him back.  Judging by Diseasoid’s scared expression, he was obviously trying to lay low and blend in with the other miserable half-dead slaves to avoid being Skadi’s “friend” again.

- And in “Food #4″, where Skadi crosses “bushbeasts” off her “meat to eat” list, well we all know she isn’t all that bright of a girl.  That list probably has a lot of repeats and mistakes.

We’ll be cruising the line for the Iron Man 2 panel, handing out stuff, between 3-4 pm today! (outside Hall H)

Luckily, next Friday will mark the beginning of a whole new kind of filth….the filth of Aaron Horvath, our new Head Dummie!  Aaron will be taking over the Friday spot with his hilarious comic, Mech Lab.  Mech Lab explores the strange lives of a multitude of interesting characters, starting off with three really F’ed-up robot dudes, and ending with who knows what…only future Friday’s will tell!  So don’t get the Boleander blues and miss out on the primere of Aaron Horvath’s Mech Lab!

You hear that Yergabick, yes, you bother us!

You see, he went to CN with an “adult” show and by the time the development was done his show “Rumpus: Junior High Pig” skewed too young for the adult show they wanted.

Now he’s back and causing all kinds of behind the scenes drama here at Dumm. In the last 4 weeks we’ve gotten into more fights than we have since we started. Turning Dumms against each other, hurting the site, and even stinking up all our meetings! Yeah Yergabick, you stink!

So please…I know we’re legally obligated to air his strips, but if everyone hates them, maybe he’ll leave us alone forever. Maybe even kill himself? We’re crossing all our fingers!
