I know you might think this is some kind pun or joke, but this is exactly what has happened to me on Valentine’s Days past. I’ve had a long history of the worst Valentine’s Days ever! In grade school it was always fun because it was mandatory to hand out those cheesy cards, but when you get into middle school or high school, the stakes are raised because you are actually trying to impress girls. Everything from mix tapes, teddy bears with bracelets on them, and chocolates couldn’t save me!

Three of my ex-girlfriends dumped me on Valentines. Yes, three!  I would try to surprise them, get them candy, do something sweet but they would either get mad or my plans would just back-fire! I just couldn’t win, it seemed every Valentines was bad luck!

So, yeah, This is based on real life! Just be glad it wasn’t yours!

This story does have a happy ending though. After meeting my wife, I’ve only had good Valentines! 5 years and counting!

Are you one of those people who come up with a great comeback 30 minutes too late? It’s something I’m chronically plagued with and sometimes it transfers into these strips. Long after a strip is done or even after it’s already aired I think of a better ending. This time I decided to rough it out and present it in its unadulterated, un-inked nakedness. If you like this kind of thing lemme know and hopefully I’ll get to do it more often.
