The Krampus is a type of ancient wicked demon that used to hang around with Santa in days of old. He would do Santa’s dirty work, and give a good birching to those who had been naughty. If you think I’m making this up, look here: wikipedia.

having grown up in the heart of Amish Country, I prefer the Belsnickel myself…He doesn’t need a hit man to do his dirty work, He’ll switch the kids himself if they have been bad!
