"A Cry For Help" by Gerald DeJesus
August 31st, 2010 by GabeThis is it, the definitive end to Big Pants Mouse. I saved Jerry's masterpiece as the final final final Big Pants. Why? Because it's all there. Like us all, Jerry has always had a soft spot in his heart for this little mouse, but unlike the rest of us, Jerry's heart is quite different.
Jerry is an amazing artist. You have seen his work and you didn't even know it!

My friend Tony introduced Jerry to me at a Carl's Jr. in '99. Tony wanted me to put in a good word for Jerry at Spumco. He was amazing, and we hired him for his flash expertise, but unbeknownst to me, I already "knew" Jerry.
See, some of us guys at Spumco had this contest called the "Ace Card". We would find the nastiest filthiest videos online and share them as our "ace card". Tony always seemed to have a HUGE amount of videos and would usually always win. But those times changed when Jerry started at Spumco. Jerry was Tony's secret supplier of depravity. If I would have known this, I would have told our boss that we needed to hire Jerry on his filth finding abilities alone!
Since then, I think I've worked with Jerry on every flash project I've done, including the Big Pants Mouse pilot at Disney. He is an amazing art director, bg designer, painter, animator, and all around great guy. Thanks for the final word Jerry, you put the final nail in Big Pant's coffin.
Thank you all for all the support over the years. Here's to the end of Big Pants and the start of Life In The Analog Age next week!

Hahahaa I like her annoyed face and the torch in place of the "idea lightbulb".
Great surprise opening! Great wrap up to last week's cliff hanger! Heck, this is just a great strip all together! Skadi rocks! She could kick Dave the Barbarian's butt any day of the week!
anyway-
the expressions make this one great! Oh, and the force-feeding of meat.
everyone's so cute in this one, even diseasoid!
*)The inmense stock of word-onomatopoeias (including the hilarious "feed")
*)Skadi´s partner expressions
*)Skadi´s ear on panel 5
*)Seductive ladies´ curves
*)Skadi eating on a demi-yogini position
*)The dead dragon´s head under our heroine´s arm on the last panel
*)you name it
*)etc.
Katie´s drawings are simply terrific, as terrific as Luke´s colouring job. Yes, I still get mad at those "to be continued", but it´s really good to see a comic like this in this era of automatic all-must-look the-same-don´t-you-dare-to-be-original arts. The same applies to the rest of the comics in this page. Well, I have written too much, you all must be bleeding bored by now.
I've said it before and I'll say it again "girls eating giant chunks of meat is totally hot."
I like being able to see Diseasoid's fleas as they hop about all over him. Schadenfreude and all that.
thanks
A
I wonder how the story will continue...
I also love the innovation of the idea icon: a lightbulb would be inapropriate as they don't exist yet, so it's a torch! Brilliant!
Who's great idea was that?
Love it, love it, LO-O-O-OVE IT!
- trevor.
Awesome as usual!!
3. Mark Morgan: Dave the Barbarian is a disgrace to all barbarian kind, and Skadi could definitely kick his butt....in her sleep!
5. Boop a doop: Thanks for the critique. Personally, I find this comic funny, but it's always good to get the fan's input. However, I think the comics we're doing now (we're working 3 months in advance) are even funnier than the ones you're seeing today. It takes time to get used to the characters and feel out the humor sometimes. Anyhow, I hope you keep reading!
7. RNE: Wow! Thanks for the detailed analysis! It's great reading that type of feedback.
10. Tillie: "Semi-onomatopoeia" is a good term! They'll be showing up here and there in future comics. Collect them all!
15. Trevor: Clever analysis on Skadi. Also...I drew a lightbulb in the rough layout of this comic, but after Katie cleaned it up, I thought a torch would be funnier....and more appropriate. Glad you liked it.
18. Mukpuddy: "Charitable feelings" was added 10 minutes before the comic went up. We work 3 months in advance...but we're always tweaking up to the last minute. Glad ya liked it.
I link to my WoW armory page under the "about" section. What realm are ya in?
