"A Cry For Help" by Gerald DeJesus
August 31st, 2010 by GabeThis is it, the definitive end to Big Pants Mouse. I saved Jerry's masterpiece as the final final final Big Pants. Why? Because it's all there. Like us all, Jerry has always had a soft spot in his heart for this little mouse, but unlike the rest of us, Jerry's heart is quite different.
Jerry is an amazing artist. You have seen his work and you didn't even know it!

My friend Tony introduced Jerry to me at a Carl's Jr. in '99. Tony wanted me to put in a good word for Jerry at Spumco. He was amazing, and we hired him for his flash expertise, but unbeknownst to me, I already "knew" Jerry.
See, some of us guys at Spumco had this contest called the "Ace Card". We would find the nastiest filthiest videos online and share them as our "ace card". Tony always seemed to have a HUGE amount of videos and would usually always win. But those times changed when Jerry started at Spumco. Jerry was Tony's secret supplier of depravity. If I would have known this, I would have told our boss that we needed to hire Jerry on his filth finding abilities alone!
Since then, I think I've worked with Jerry on every flash project I've done, including the Big Pants Mouse pilot at Disney. He is an amazing art director, bg designer, painter, animator, and all around great guy. Thanks for the final word Jerry, you put the final nail in Big Pant's coffin.
Thank you all for all the support over the years. Here's to the end of Big Pants and the start of Life In The Analog Age next week!

Once again, every pose and every expression is a tasty treat. And anyone who's ever dealt with a Professional Victim like Pippi should be well tickled by the last two panels.
Or want to smash her with a claw hammer. (raises hand)
Who needs a plot when you have Gestalt?
In the last few weeks it seems like it has been slowly and quietly evolving. So I've been constantly checking up on it, excited to see how it has grown.
Do I think it is funny? No, not really. Beaten with fish sticks just isn't funny to me. But on the plus side, the comic seems to be taking on a little bit more sense then it has in previous pages. There is a joke there, and I get it, even if it doesn't make me laugh.
Also, the art has almost always been superior. I always thought that the characters could be a lot more better if they had more depth. And it seems like maybe they slowly are.
In any case, it's miles ahead of Sorry Guys.
After ten strips you get used to it, after some fifteen strips you slowly start to like it. How long it takes to admit that, if you have yelled out since the first strip how terribly bad the comic is?
P.S. I donīt get all the gags in Sorry Guys, but the art in it is superior.
Not sure how much sense that makes, but either way I like this series!
Either way, keep 'em coming guy(s) Frog Racoon Feilds Forever

I mean, thanks for the heads-up.
Beautiful and funny. ;D
@?: If you're here looking for a comic that provides a solid laugh every third panel, then you do not know how to look.
Anything good takes time to improve. I liked the strip from the beginning, for what it is, and I like where it's going.
I honestly do miss some of the randomness, but that's something you eventually get over with and move on from. Randomness is like a fart joke. It's comforting because it's old and familiar.
