"A Cry For Help" by Gerald DeJesus
August 31st, 2010 by GabeThis is it, the definitive end to Big Pants Mouse. I saved Jerry's masterpiece as the final final final Big Pants. Why? Because it's all there. Like us all, Jerry has always had a soft spot in his heart for this little mouse, but unlike the rest of us, Jerry's heart is quite different.
Jerry is an amazing artist. You have seen his work and you didn't even know it!

My friend Tony introduced Jerry to me at a Carl's Jr. in '99. Tony wanted me to put in a good word for Jerry at Spumco. He was amazing, and we hired him for his flash expertise, but unbeknownst to me, I already "knew" Jerry.
See, some of us guys at Spumco had this contest called the "Ace Card". We would find the nastiest filthiest videos online and share them as our "ace card". Tony always seemed to have a HUGE amount of videos and would usually always win. But those times changed when Jerry started at Spumco. Jerry was Tony's secret supplier of depravity. If I would have known this, I would have told our boss that we needed to hire Jerry on his filth finding abilities alone!
Since then, I think I've worked with Jerry on every flash project I've done, including the Big Pants Mouse pilot at Disney. He is an amazing art director, bg designer, painter, animator, and all around great guy. Thanks for the final word Jerry, you put the final nail in Big Pant's coffin.
Thank you all for all the support over the years. Here's to the end of Big Pants and the start of Life In The Analog Age next week!

Poor poor parasites we knew you well. *salutes*
This strip is a perfect example of my argument.
Illustration is, well, an illustration of a stated action. It gives the reader a visual glimpse of a story. In comics, the art is the story. Without any narration or script support (aside from a one word statement when Skadi says 'Bath') you've managed to tell a wonderful, wonderfully funny story. I absolutely love it! This is comic striping in its purest form!
I'm a big comic enthusiast and Wednesday is always a high point for me, because it's new comic day! How fitting that Skadi comes out then as well. It's just another reason to look forward to it.
Keep up the great work guys. I'm looking forward to more of Diseasoid week.
Mark, thanks for the well thought out insight and compliments. I always look forward to reading your comments.
Oh and I like the resist!
and the praying!
I can imagine hearing the tiny (yet earsplitting) pitiful screams of those insects in their watery graves, torn from their loving host in the prime of their lives. To be fish fodder. Ye will be missed. Apparently.
And these colours are amazing! Great work guys.
Poor, poor Diseasoid... I shall mourn with him...
Imagine praying for the soul of every flea, mosquito, cockroach and fly you sent to an early demise, then giving each a good Christian burial.
I really LOVE this online comic!
Great colors overall you know how to contrast the rancid colors w/ the bright backgrounds to allow us to laugh at the stench as opposed to getting sick with it.
I don't know if the bugs were Christians or not, but I think the fact that Deseasiod buried and prayed over them is more a sign of how much he cared. He certainly didn't take the time to bury the Dragon from last month's four part adventure. The Dragon meant nothing, religion aside, but those fleas and bugs were his pals, they, 'sniff' I feel bad for him just thinking about it.
WHY SKADI! WHY!
