So we have our first 'Earthward Ho' multi-parter. I must admit a fondness for these mini-series. They allow for greater character development and help to keep things interesting. I also appreciate that you haven't shown exactly what is in the spaceship. Too often comic-style cliff hangers will end with a shocking revelation; ie, the sudden appearance of a controversial character or in this case a monster. The former can be very dramatic, but what you have done is even better.

What's our hero pointing at? Will it, in fact, be an abomination? Probably not, but then we don't know. It could be a cute little alien. It could be a human astronaut or Elvis Presly or heck, Fred Osmond! It gives the reader time to ponder and guess at the outcome. In the end, the suspense created by our imaginations will be so much more thrilling than anything that could have been revealed.

I'm anticipating the conclusion! I can't wait!
