I told you last week, "Mark my word, the Barbarian Behind will be tightest than ever next Wednesday". I didn´t know by then I was going to be SO RIGHT.
Now, the "Revenge!" panel does feature some strange snake-like posing from our heroine. That´s flexibility for you!
Be-headed by buttocks, that´s a new concept for me, I must admit.

This raises many questions.
Where does Skadi keep her sheath?
How does Crom look upon these deaths?
Is this comic strip appropriate for impressionable minds such as mine?

Hah! Probably not as worth it this time, eh, forest gnome thing? Or maybe it was; the kinky male mind works in mysterious ways. And hey, I almost missed the Skadi title this week!

Wow, Skadi regenerated her bottom, I, yeah, well, hhmmm….

Now, I love Skadi. She's my favorite strip on dumm, but and I'm glad her butt is back, I really am, but even so, I have to question whether or not her unmentionable warrants all this attention. It's a cartoon caboose for crying out loud! It's not really doing anything for me and I sincerely hope it's not doing anything for anyone else ... I can hope, can't I?

The fact is Skadi is a brilliantly drawn character who has managed to forge ahead into new territory instead of relying on the endless shtick that so many other barbarian themed cartoons become mired in. She's fresh, original, and worth more than the sum of her parts. Let's have some poignant laughs that are reflective of real life, you know like in "Compassion" or "Shoe Shopping"; let's have some more character exposition like in "On Bushbeasts"; and there’s so much material to mine just by exploring the world of Skadi. Don't get me wrong, I love Skadi. I will hunt down those who do not respect her and serve their meat to her on a silver tray! But all that aside, three straight weeks of butt jokes is pushing it a bit don't you think?

Oh, but it was cool to see one of those gnomes again. By any chance could this be the beginning of some sort of recurring rival for our Barbarous Beauty and her Smelly Sidekick? I have this image stuck in my head of Diseasoid being carried away in his sleep by bloody thirsty sprites intent on a Bush Beast Burger. Probably not going to happen, but I’m curious all the same.

Anyway, thank you Katie, thank you Luke, thank you for giving us Skadi. I must now go weep that it will be another seven days before I get more of her wild antics and meat munching misadventures. Why must it be a whole week? WWWWHHHHYYYYYY?

HOORAY! The return of Mark Morgan Jr! Perhaps 3 weeks of butt jokes seems like a bit much...it actually happened organically though, and wasn't planned. "Crack of Doom" had a lot of butt-related comments, so Luke and I thought it would be funny to follow it up with one we had done a while ago where her ass gets bitten off. But we sort of turned that into something else, teasing the audience by hinting that her bum may never return. Of course...after we did that we realized that a non-butt related comic would be anticlimactic, and we didn't have any like that already finished. So! We came up with "Revenge" somewhat spur of the moment to wrap it all up. And that's the story of the 3 week butt special!
