Short one this week but I still managed to slip a reference in. Panel 3 is Chris Tarrant who is/was/is that even on anymore the presenter of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in the UK. High profile divorce case a few years back. So it’s an old joke to emphasise that the machine is old? I GUESS??
In other news I have a new actual physical comical book out if that’s your bag. Red Fox Summer Funzies is 52 full colour pages of Pirate Monkeys, the undersea kingdom of the shrimpanzees, ill fated romance, and other such aestival activities! Featuring bonus comix by cool folks Sarah Graley, Isaac Lenkiewicz and Josh Shepherd. If you’re in the UK you can buy it from me at cons and whatnot, and if you’re elsewhere you can buy it here: http://redmondjshop.bigcartel.com/product/red-fox-summer-funzies-1
I liked the “changing background” thingy I did for last week’s strip that I decided to do it again this time. Feeling very inspired by George Herriman’s Krazy Kat lately. Also, “Seth and Poncho” will have something surreal going on most of the time. That’s what I’m aiming for with these two characters. Hope you dig!
(SPOILER: Next week’s comic will be colored.)
Captain Smirk is the kind of person who can see mistakes made by others and can point them out, but falls in the same traps immediately.
Next week will be a special page, which has nothing to do with this story. I continue this story 2 weeks later. Hope you dont mind.
Have fun and see ya next week!
Redrew this one a few times and I still don’t think I got it. BUT ANYWAY. Drag Racer by the Doug Wood Band is better known as the theme to the BBC snooker footage.
Snooker Loopy by Chas n’ Dave is better known as the musical equivalent of the Bataan death march.
