Thanks SO MUCH, everybody who contributed to this fantastic batch of pinups! I wheedled these artists until I finally ended up with even more contributions than I got for the Kablooey!!! pinup gallery.
Andrew Willmore even did TWO of them! After that first one, I made an off-handed remark about how I thought people would do more pinuppy pinups, like Priscilla as a sexy Christmas elf, Holly as a French maid, etc. So Andrew decided to actually make it a reality!
And Dan Sills really outdid himself, with his homage to the cover from the cult classic video game Maniac Mansion.

I could sure use some guest artists over the coming weeks, so if you’d like to try your hand at drawing some Zoo Laffs, please read THIS.

Oh, and … I told you last week about the three nice reviews I’ve gotten for Jakey the Jerk, #1. I guess I should quit tooting my own horn about now, but here’s a fourth one — a glowing Stumptown Trade Review review.

Holy mackerel! That was the longest Zoo Laffs story yet. That’s all the Onion Puss you get for now. If you liked the conclusion, or the whole Ghost of a Chance storyline, please don’t forget to “like” it. That’ll help me decide whether to come back at some future date and show you how Onion Puss deals with Holly’s disturbingly backwards worldview.

Next week, I’m planning to post the Ghost of a Chance pinup gallery. So far, I’ve received nine pinups. It’d be great if I ended up with twelve or more, to top the Kablooey!!! gallery, so please CHIP IN! Read all about it under the comic from two weeks ago, and please try to have it to me by — here’s the new hard deadline — Saturday, July 7th, at noon Pacific time. I sure would appreciate your contribution. I wonder if I’m going to get a lot less drawings of Holly, now that people know she’s . . . a RACIST?! What the –?! That’s just crazy.

Oh, and Jakey the Jerk, #1 now has THREE nice reviews online! A Comic Book Therapy review (I posted about that one last week), a Mars Will Send No More review, and a Comics Bulletin review (scroll down a bit).

That’s NOT all, y’all! NEXT WEEK is the final installment in the Ghost of a Chance story. The week after that, I’m planning to post the Ghost of a Chance pinup gallery. So far, I’ve received four pinups, plus a few pledges. It’d be great if I ended up with twelve or more, to top the Kablooey!!! gallery, but it’s not looking very likely, right now. Unless YOU send me one! Read all about it under last week’s comic, and please try to have it to me by July 5th or so. It seems to me like maybe I’d get MORE entries on this one, since there are three different girls folks might like to draw this time. (Or four, if you count Jen.) But we’ll just have to wait and see.

Oh, and Jakey the Jerk, #1, got a nice Comic Book Therapy review. They didn’t mention Dumm Comics, though, so would you guys please go talk about how much you love Dumm in the comments there?
…
We’re getting close to the end of this story, y’all. When it’s over, I want to have another pinup gallery, like THIS ONE, which I posted after the end of Jakey the Jerk’s Kablooey!!! arc.
So, wanna do your own Ghost of a Chance pinup for the gallery? Draw Onion Puss, or Priscilla, or Holly, or Elizabeth, or any combination thereof. Send it to me soon, and I’ll add it to the batch. My Onion Puss comics are in B&W, somewhat sloppily inked with a brush pen. You could make yours look similar to mine, or you could do it in any style, with shades or colors or whatever. Also, if you want, you can redesign the characters in whatever way you like. As long as they’re still themselves in some way. It could just be a pinup, with them creeping around the manse or what have you. Or, if you want to do a short comic or joke, etc., that could be fun, too. And of course I’ll link your websites, etc., for the readers. Just email it to me: cgarrison[at]bham.rr.com (with a real @, though). (And if your participation is contingent on knowing how the story comes out, email me, and I just might give you a hint.)
