Here it is, the only pictures we have of that costume. Yes, my brother was dressed as Fonzy that year :)
Here’s part one if you missed it.
*small trivia note: this isn’t the first time this costume has appeared in Life In The Analog Age. The first one who emails me at gabe@lifeintheanalogage.com with the correct location will get a special little prize! Good Luck!

Adorable x100!
Thanks!
Oh wow, this is fantastic! Growwing up in South africa Halloween wasent really as big as other places like the states and such, sure it was advertised..but it was more of just the decorations and candy..we never really went out to trick or treat, it was a little too dangerous. But yeah what a fantastic costume!
Aw man, we always made it a big deal. My parents never had much money either, we hand made all our costumes :)
That is damned BRILLIANT! Wow! Thank you for sharing, the comic put a huuuuuuuuge grin in my face, and the old photos of the real deal in action are a nice treat. They gave you candy by feeding pac-man XD So cool!
Yep, I would love to remake this costume now!
*Slow Clap*
amzing gabe, truly amazing
Thank you, thanks to my Dad too!
I secretly wondered if it might’ve been Pac-Man but was like “nahhh, no way, what else could it have been…were the ninja turtles around then?”
Now I wish I had made the prediction haha
You guessed right!
I hope those who gave you candy realized that it was Pac-Man and not some ugly geometric fish head. >:^) Especially elder ladies.
I think they did, this is when Pac-Man was at the hight of his popularity :)
I think you`ve got bad understanding of gaming abilities of elders. :)
I used to go to an arcade maybe 10 years ago and there was a 70 year old man who would play Lady Bug for hours while his wife stod next to him and watched the whole time! He was an amazing player! :)
Best childhood EVER!
Thanks to my awesome parents!
get any cherries?
LOL! Naw, maybe some cherry flavored candy, does that count?
That was great! I showed this to a friend who went as Mario for Halloween. Her costume was very similar with a pixelated Mario painted on both sides, and coins coming out from the top.
I thought those pixelized costumes look so cool!
That is simply amazing Gabe!
If I were a women I’d want to have your babies!
That is so wrong on so many levels :)
That is so awesome. A truly great costume. I’ve seen imitators but that one reigns supreme.
Ha! Good for a kid too huh?!
I FOUND IT!
It’s in the cartoon “Thirsty” when the kid walks by the photo collage, around the 30 second mark.

Aw hell I was supposed to email that, wasn’t I? I can’t delete it. :/
That’s OK! You got it! I’ll send you your prize soon! Good job!
what a next-level costume idea, and to the point too! Pac-man loves eatin’ stuff.. why not candy?
I figure I’d want a Beluga costume that went white and chased other kids around at high speed and there would be NO STOPPING BARON VON BLUBBA!!
LOL! Did you ever make it?
It would take Old Snake-level Octocam to get the costume to change color and my roommate’s tiny speaker to blast the sinister music when it comes time… look, just keep an eye out for me on the news and we’ll see
Holy crap, that thing is AWESOME!
Thanks to my family! They always encouraged us!
But your brother should have dressed up as a ghost!!!!
Awesome as ever, Gabe. Sorry for the late reply. Being on a trip on Meatspace for a change ;)
