I feel stupid for saying this, but I don’t get the joke, maybe there isn’t one? The world may never know…
She was just saying he was so nice and then he tells her to shut up. That’s the joke, he’s actually a dick.
That or he has no luck with the ladies, yet all the unavailable ladies tell him that.
Isn’t it that such guys are always stuck in a predicament where girls tell them they’re so nice and should have a girlfriend, yet would never actually go out with them?
The joke is in the name of the cartoon — “Inhospitable”. He’s in the hospital, but he’s not hospitable. See?
