Sorry if I’m going to be a bit of a nitpicker, but isn’t it supposed to be “She must _have_ taught me” ? Otherwise I can relate to this comic, especially since I had an ingrown toenail one I was little. :(
My friend always gets ingrown toenails, and I was always wondering why. One day I saw her cutting her toenails, though. She was totally doing it ALL WRONG.
I don’t know if trimming your nails can absolutely fix your ingrown toe nails, I always trims mine and I tend to have ingrown toe nails from time to time, the whole nail tends to grow around the inside of my toe and not just the tip that I can cut. I usually have to take something and “pry” the nail out of my toe and then trim it, a lot of pus or even blood tends to come out.
I had ingrown toenail after an incident with a heavy door as a kid.
It became really really angry pus-forming inflammation. Over month
my parents tried to carve this stuff from under my nail till I finally got a surgery.
I am one of this kids with the bandage on the foot. It still haunts me over the decades…
Since then I am a toe-nail-trim-specialist. Never gonna have nasty ingrown nails again- my god… never again!
ah, you’re lucky. I had to learn the hard way. Since grade school, I learned to trim my nails (nobody really taught me) just because for looking clean as well reliving pressure that I didn’t know until a few years later that pressure was an indication to trim or else get a ingrown nail.
I honestly never really understood how you can trim your nails “wrong”. The only ingrown toenails I ever heard about ’round here were from accidents, but my mother did warn me to trim’em’good to make sure it never happens.
I guess my abnormally shaped foot makes me more sensitive to foot-related pain, and/or I have a really low threshold of acceptance for extraneous pressure…
“throw away all nails” because you don’t want anyone finding them for malign magical purposes, of course!
Haha, that’s just silly, Egypt. Just siGIVE ME YOUR NAILS
Yep! We can’t have that now can we?!
damn, i just shivered at the last panel.
Ha! Ha! That’s awesome!

Yikes! I am so glad I never had to go through that. The worst thing for me was when my entire thumbnail fell off. That wasn’t fun!
well the I remember it was not terrible because it fell off, but the time it took to grow back to old lenght… and the sore feeling
Good tip :D If one played a musical instruments, fingernail clipping was a whole different matter.
I played the drums, it was ok for me?

Wow, really? I always kept them trimmed. What about those guys that hold the guiness world record for toenails? Are they ingrown? Hmmm….
I was one of the other kids….still am….
ooo, sorry to hear that :(
