   Gotta admit I’m kind of losing the story arch at this point…didn’t Wickle just kind of randomly chose to kill off the very common owls even though it was suggested he pick something easier…errr…

     Yep, and the contender did the very same thing (just as unwisely, or perhaps he was already aware Wickle was helping him through the task). So now they’re vying to drive same bird into extinction, for the very same reason (the title of dictator Trom will bestow to whomever completes the tasks of evil first).

     He has comparable power, odds are good it wouldn’t end well, and Wickle cherishes his own survival.
