I dunno, I think I have noticed more and more – the last two falls I have noticed the most wonderful color combinations I have ever seen!! To be honest, I took that for granted as a kid – not anymore, though. :-)
Time wizzes by for me too, but this is precisely why I’m noticing seasonal changes more and more. From my childhood perspective, they changed so slowly and gradually that it was difficult to take notice (similar to boiling a frog by increasing the heat slowly–the frog is less likely to notice). Now I’m older, and seasons are just like, BANG! BOOM! Spring all of a sudden!
Wow, I thought it would be the complete opposite. If you are spending less time in each season, you would feel it less. To me it almost feels like 2 years now, is as long as a season was when I was a kid.
I like to try to notice them as much as possible, especially holidays that are around the changes such as Halloween, I hate it if i don’t do anything related to Halloween and it’s just another day. I suppose it’s how busy you get or are.
I hate that, for some reason especially on Halloween or X-Mas. A holiday should feel like a holiday, we should take note from Spain or India dagnabbit!
Time definitely accelerates as you age, yes. It probably has something to do with how the younger you are, the more a chunk of time represents in your total existence so far; when you’re 5, 1 year is 20% of your life, but when you’re 30, it’s only 3%.
I’ve found that if you don’t plan your day and just “play” that it really slows down. That’s one thing I loved as a kid was just the abilityto do whatever you wanted whenever.

That’s really hard huh? We couldn’t really do anything special this Halloween and it just felt like another day.

Do they have mandatory time off?
They might, but I would have to check…
Man, that would be great!
