The gir’s eyes need some reflection, they look unnatural now, with the iris been lighter then the pupil. But it’s a good cartoon, makes sense and is overall graphically consistent. Do go on. *thumbs up*
@ Stanev: The iris is the coloured part of the eye, the pupil is the black spot in the middle. So naturally, her irises *should* be lighter than her pupils. Which of course they are. But ProNice stated this better than I did.
I think Zoo Laffs is currently my favourite comic on Dumm. :) Which says a lot, considering the line-up.
Yeah these comics lately have been good but there’s one thing that reeeally bothers me… the out of place title. It’s always just copy and pasted onto the top, with a grey line separating it from the comic. Ugh. =( Bothers me more than it should, but it isn’t really asthetically pleasing. But yeah the comic’s good.
If I may say so… the title “Zoo Laffs” is necessary because Chris uses several characters who differ from week to week. They all fall under the “Zoo Laffs” umbrella, so if it were not there… someone new around here may be confused as to what to expect. Duuuh, I guess. Just pipin’ in.
He’s not saying the title itself should be different, but that it could look a little nicer, perhaps be drawn into the comic like some other comics tend to do?
Bristow’s correct about my intention. I liked the idea of having a consistent banner at the top, because creating my own fake anthology, within an already anthology-like website, felt like it could be kinda hard for folks to grasp. But now that Zoo Laffs has hung in for 37 weeks, I guess most Dumm readers have the basic idea. I could shrink the banner down to something less obtrusive. Maybe I’ll change it at the turn of the year.
I suppose her dot nose IS rather who-ey. I’m a fan of big noses on girls, myself, but I think I’ve drawn a few in Zoo Laffs already. So I figured it was time to make something for the fans of petite-nosed women. (I think they’re a pretty big block.)
Plus, I feel that the dot-for-a-nose convention is far too neglected by artists over 5 years of age. When’s the last time you drew a dot for a nose?
Sweet! I didn’t think there was any good way to express it without color. I may color this strip at some point, or let somebody else color it, in which case it can look like the real thing.
i have to say i really like this one, i do not come to hate coment, but have to admit i do not enjoy all zoolaffs comics, pretty much because they seem too similar to me, but this one, and the next, which i already read, are quite good in my opinion, because something different is going on, good job
Seems legit

she has great eyes

High praise indeed! Wow, thanks.
I like her crazy muppet-face in panel 9.
This is fun, I like how he just head butts people! These longer strips are pretty cool!
Settle in, because this is gonna be the longest Zoo Laffs continuity yet. A real adventure! (somewhat)
I definitly laughed at the last line! Keep up the great work, seems Zoo Laffs is at a positive turning point!!
For a hippie chick, she’s loaded!!
Can’t wait to see what transpires next week…
Zoo Laffs has been really someting lately. I’m diggin’ this!
Jakey’s stance on hippie chicks looks like it may soon change.
Maybe she’s going to a nudist convention, and he will be humiliated when he realizes what they want him to do?
No, but that’s a funny idea. I think Jakey would get mad when he realizes what they DON”T want him to do.

I don’t see how a title matters.

Her lack of a nose disturbs me greatly. But yea, I chuckled at his expression in the “I’m a natural!” panel.
Her whole face reminds me of one of the Whos from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” for some odd reason. Still, I like where this is going.

This week’s Zoo Laffs Trivia Bitz: She’s wearing the B&W comic version of a tie-dyed T-shirt.
Okay, everybody, I’m glad y’all liked part 1. I’ll see you back here next week for part 2! Until then, please drive carefully.
Love always,
G
You actually managed to get that across, did you know that? I understood it was a tie-dyed T-shirt before I read your explanation.

I did too.
another comic I look forward too~
ENTERTAIN ME!!!
