Your first comment was funnier. I think the problem with your comments is that it’s the same joke every time. Maybe if you changed things up more, or added more likable, relatable characters people would like your comments more. If you keep making unfunny comments I swear I’ll never read them again.
Overwrought and underdeveloped piss-poor art peppered with dull writing, yep, this is Rad Raz alright. Keep up the great work Jack, I’m sure one day you’ll actually learn how to do a comic if you just keep at it. Remember: everybody’s gotta churn out at least a hundred shitty pages before coming up with something halfway decent. Unfortunately for you, I think the figure’s closer to a thousand shitty pages. But hey, don’t stop believing you talentless, unfunny hack!
Jack,
I for one really appreciate your comics. The style is eye catching, and, well… awesome. Every panel involving Raz could be an ad for awesomeness!
From my perspective, it isn’t the quality of the strips thats hurting you; it’s the weekly strips. Not that you can’t pull off a zinging one liner. You can. It’s just that when you get up to 15 part series’ I feel that people begin to forget how it all began. These would look beautiful collected in a book where you could read them one after the other and really ‘GET IT’.
Either way, I really like what you do.
You deserve only good feedback.
Keep it up!
I think you are exactly right. The flaw of the longer stories is that not every page is going to be hilarious. If you go back and read the whole thing all the way through at once, it’ll be more rewarding, but the stop and start nature of posting one page a week is not ideal for people expecting a short and sweet hilarious zinger every week. It’s something I wanted to experiment with (longer RAZ stories), and I’m mostly happy with the results. The world is bigger, RAZ Corp is more fleshed out, you can see how the characters interact and relate to each other, and you get to see one whole “day-in-the-life” of RAZ.
The downside, of course, is that it’s a little slower. Sorry, Guys™! Besides, for all the complaining and railing against this story, the fact is it’s almost over, after which I’m doing to do a series of one-off gags to switch things up. Calm down, people! You’re losing your minds over nothing. I’m not going to be exclusively doing long stories with RAZ. There’s also some other stuff in the works that’s a surprise to switch things up even more, so wait for those treats, too!
As far as my art and writing, I’ll be the first person to tell you I am still learning and I ain’t perfect. That being said, the next person to make blanket statements about how my jokes aren’t funny and my drawings are terrible had better post a link to their resume, portfolio and writing samples if they expect me to actually take them seriously. Barring that, these comments just give me a good laugh every Saturday. And how seriously can I take someone who comes back, week after week, yet claims this is too boring and stupid for them to read?
PS: Scrabbit, I forgot to say thanks for the kind words! Your comment really made my day! It’s nice to know someone out there is enjoying all the work I put into this.
i actually love your comment idk why its just my style i think the only comic on dumm i look forward to more than this was …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….Sorry Guys ^_^

I’m having a lot of fun and pretty happy with what I’ve been doing, both on Dumm and off. Have fun being unhappy.
I like to pleasure myself in many ways too. But when I do it in public, people seem to always run away screaming. I blame them.

I’m still enjoying the comic!
Is it a full moon or something? Planets aligning in an odd manner? So many trolls coming out of the woodwork, lol.
I blame the epidemic of low quality toilet paper, too many folks walking around with “splinter-butt” will make many a foul mood.
