I did something similar the year after, when I had the choice to go see either The Hitcher or Iron Eagle. Turned out the one with the cool name was the stupid movie and vice versa… Of course, everyone I knew had seen The Hitcher and were rambling non-stop about Rutger Hauer the next few weeks.

Explorers? Really? That’s the one comic of yours I like. And only because it’s got back to the future in it.

That one had comedy in it. Since it’s shown so rarely in your comics my subconscious made forget the few that does seem the same as the usual, good comic :), although what bothered me about the movie was the somewhat odd aspect of paradox. If he would not be born due to his actions, then no one would do said actions and nothing will interfere with him being born so he’ll stop himself from being born and the chain goes on, and the disappearance is either instant or none. And in the end his dad was actually a fatherly figure which he wouldn’t be ashamed of, thos much more likely to spend more of his childhood with him instead of the neighborhood loony, but they practically invented time travel films so who gives a damn.

Back to the future is amazing.

Don’t feel too bad, in my opinion “Explorers” is a solid yet underrated little gem. However, I will say that I’d probably pick “Back to the Future” over “Explorers” anytime.

Wow! Your skills of deduction got the run-around. I’ve never even heard of “Explorers” except Dora the Explorer.

I almost wrote “Dora the Exploder”…

Explores that was a weird little thing, lst time I saw it was back in the early 90s, I just remember an alien that sounded like Disneys Goofy or some crazy shit. It was not as nearly quotable as Back to the Future,

    Cheers!

Shit, I didn’t regret seeing The Explorers in the theater. I loved that movie back in the day. And besides, it’s got 2 solid child actors in it.

Explorers is AWESOME! Back to the Future on the other hand is just overrated.

Nothing but the accessibility has changed. It’s still difficult to choose a movie. Especially if you’re seeking popularity in choice and critical acclaim.
Question for everyone… does Back To The Future become a quotable pop culture classic had Spielberg not fired Eric Stolz when he got the chance to get the mega-hot Michael J Fox? Still have Chris Lloyd… wacky! Still have the clever and witty script! Still have Crispin Clover – c’mon! AND… omg… you still have Huey Lewis with a slicked down comb-over barking through his megaphone, “I’m sorry fellas… you’re just too darn loud.”
