I always don’t tell spoilers to people, and I tell people not to tell spoilers to me. But in a chat room once, I let a spoiler slip…and as revenge was told a spoiler from a game I was gonna play soon. X_X
I would imagine that the plot of the book was so predictable/formulaic that Kimbo figured it out when Vespula was telling him only stuff from the beginning and maybe middle…
Oh, Kimbo himself was saying that he was “almost done”… hmmm… I think by then there were only a few possibilities for a suspect, so Vespula either reminded him of something he overlooked, or she gave away just one clue that already lead him on.
I kind of do this at movies, except I’ll try to predict the movie 15 or 20 mins into it and most of the time I am right, people get upset when I do that. Hehe.
But maybe Kimbo’s assumption was incorrect! Maybe Vespula was just being nice by dropping red herrings all over the place to make the mystery even MORE surprising to Kimbo, because she really wants him to share her own amazement at how it all ends and totally never see it coming! She’s not STUPID
my boyriend and his brother often do this to each other but sometimes they lie so you will never know the real ending til you reread the book years later.
Just to avoid this I always read how it ends and if I like it or if it really confusing read how the plot gets there.
the only way spoilers spoil me is if someone does a summary of the story. which then I will thank them for saving me time on reading it.
Lol I remember when I came out of the cinema after watching spiderman. I said quite loudly to my friend, ‘I can’t believe Spiderman died’ assuming that I’d just annoy a few people by saying obviously stupid ‘spoilers’.
But the look on the face of the small child, who was waiting to go in and watch it, was the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
Oftentimes the existence of a spoiler is a bigger spoiler than the spoiler itself.
whoa
This is why when I get a new book, I try to read it in one day before I see people.
Haha yeah, I had someone do exactly that for me with Dororo. Fortunately, that revelation actually made it more enjoyable to me.
THE second panel expressions are priceless!

you’re putting a great deal of thought into this.
The Butler did it.
Also, if knowing the Butler did it spoiled the story for him, he was probably better off reading something else anyway. ;)
@Tiki Snakes
The Butler? Really?! I’ve could have sworn it was a collaboration between Colonel Kyle & The Reverend Luke.
This comic gave me a funny!

Oh, they probably don’t care about the spoilers – they’re just sad that they’re not as clever as you. Hee hee ;)
I wouldn’t say I am clever, I just think most movies are too god damn predictable.

Right! She wanted to show you how SMART she is… cute little thang.
