Woah. For once, I am completely confused by this comic.

If you’re confused, i I think this is it. Strawberry comes across January playing “Looby Monsters” on her Ninendo DS. (Most likely a reference to Pokémon Black and White, which came out a few weeks ago.) The brain in the tree spills something on January’s DS that makes the game come to life.
The “meanwhile, in the past” part is, as far as I can tell, a John Berry solo strip that has nothing to do with the “Looby Monsters” thing. “Mounatin Don’t” is the punchline there.
The only thing that confuses me is what the brain thing in the tree said and what it has to do with spilling green goop on a DS? -Types all this out with one hand and plays pokemon black with the other-
Really, guys? I mean, this reference isn’t even obscure.

OH! OH! Okay! I see it now. Yeah, I never really watched the cartoons, and the only experience I have with Krang is when he was in the robot. Okay. This comic makes sense now.
Well, excuse me for not keeping up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I never watched an episode of that, and it wasn’t popular when I was growing up. I guessed that was what it was from, though.

But I am catching on, and I love Strawberry so much I willing to take the ride.
